The Shri Ram School (TSRS) is consistently ranked among India's top co-educational day schools. For parents, the hard part is often working out how its three campuses (Vasant Vihar, Moulsari and Aravali) relate to each other. This guide explains the structure, the curriculum at each campus, student support, admissions and estimated fees.
A TSRS education rests on four values: Integrity, Sensitivity, Pursuit of Excellence, and Pride in One's Own Heritage. The school favours a child-centred, inquiry-based approach over rote learning, and pairs rigorous national and international curricula with a strong focus on social-emotional wellbeing.
How the Three Campuses Fit Together
TSRS does not run three identical K-12 schools.
- Vasant Vihar (New Delhi) is the junior school, from Pravesh Vatika (Nursery) to Grade 5.
- Moulsari (Gurugram) is the middle and senior school (Grades 6-12). Vasant Vihar students move here after Grade 5.
- Aravali (Gurugram) is a standalone school offering continuous education from Nursery to Grade 12.
Vasant Vihar Campus (New Delhi)
Set up in 1988, Vasant Vihar is where TSRS began. It is in South Delhi and serves young learners from Pravesh Vatika (Nursery) to Grade 5. The aim is joyful learning without high-pressure academics in the early years.
- Pravesh Vatika to Upvan: a secure, happy setting where children explore themselves and their surroundings through play-based learning.
- Grades 1 and 2: a strong focus on literacy and numeracy, and on building independence and good learning habits.
- Grades 3, 4 and 5: students take more ownership of their learning through interactive, hands-on teaching, subject learning labs and an introductory Robotics lab.
No re-application for middle school. Because the campus ends at Grade 5, students automatically move to the Moulsari campus in Gurugram, staying in the same values-driven community.
Moulsari Campus (Gurugram)
Set up in 1994 and named after the Moulsari tree, this campus is the senior wing for Vasant Vihar students. It has an international outlook. It holds candidacy with the New England Association of Schools and Colleges (NEASC) and is a member of the Round Square network.
- Grades 6-8: bridge guided learning and intellectual maturity, building self-awareness and life skills.
- Grades 9 and 10: students choose between the Indian ICSE and the Cambridge IGCSE.
- Grades 11 and 12: the Indian School Certificate (ISC) and the International Baccalaureate Diploma Programme (IBDP). The campus is also a Candidate School for the IB Career-related Programme (IBCP).
Results
Moulsari graduates have gone on to leading global universities, including Harvard. In the 2026 ICSE exams, all 83 students passed (100%). The school average was 85.88%, and 50.60% of students scored 90% or above. Simran Sharma and Ashwin Saxena both scored 98.40%.
Aravali Campus (Gurugram)
Set up in 2000 in DLF Phase IV, Gurugram, Aravali offers the TSRS approach in one continuous Nursery-to-Grade-12 campus. Students stay in one community with no campus transfer. It follows the national curriculum of the Council for the Indian School Certificate Examinations (CISCE).
- Grades 9 and 10: the ICSE programme.
- Grades 11 and 12: the ISC curriculum, preparing students for higher education in India and abroad.
Results
In the 2026 ICSE exams, all 173 students passed. The school average was 89.78%, and 63% of students scored 90% or above. Navya Bansal scored 99.40%.
What Sets TSRS Apart
1. Social-emotional learning and mental health
The school is a signatory of the Mental Health Pledge and works to remove the stigma around mental health discussions.
- Counsellor Connect Programme: from Grade 4, students have regular informal conversations with professional counsellors, so the relationship is already in place if they need support later.
- Taught SEL: emotional intelligence, constructive conflict and digital citizenship are part of the timetable.
- Triangle of Support: student, educator and parent work together. "Circle of Trust" forums bring parents together with experts on modern parenting.
2. Career Counselling Centre (CCC)
- Grades 9 and 10: exploring strengths, subject selection and digital literacy.
- Grades 11 and 12: college application preparation, including test prep, essay reviews, SOP writing, and guidance for entrance tests such as CUET, JEE and NEET.
- Shri Shodh: an in-house research mentorship programme.
- The school is an authorised College Board test centre for the SAT and PSAT.
3. Leadership and global citizenship
Junior students take on classroom duties and middle schoolers join student-led committees. Senior students lead portfolios such as Environment, Technology, Service, Wellbeing and Round Square. As a Round Square member, TSRS builds in the six IDEALS: International Understanding, Democracy, Environmental Stewardship, Adventure, Leadership and Service. Younger students meet them through the "Round Square Heroes of Discovery" characters, and older students join exchanges and global conferences.
4. Signature events
- Shri Teq (Vasant Vihar and Moulsari): a technology festival with hackathons and design challenges.
- Shri Debate (Moulsari): a platform for persuasive communication and critical thinking.
- Shri MUN (Moulsari): a Model United Nations conference.
- Shri Utsav and Shri Inspire (Aravali): a celebration of performing and visual arts, and a series connecting students with industry leaders and changemakers.
- Yog Udyyam (Vasant Vihar): a wellness and movement festival.
Admissions, Fees and Parent Experience
Admission is very competitive. Since the school values continuity, most intake happens at Pravesh Vatika (Nursery).
- Vasant Vihar (Delhi): Pravesh Vatika admissions follow the Directorate of Education (DoE), Delhi guidelines and point system. Applications are announced on the school website.
- Aravali (Gurugram): follows Haryana state guidelines, with updates on the school's admission portal.
- Mid-term and higher grades: places arise only when families relocate. Contact the principal of the campus directly.
Fees (approximate)
Fees are revised each year. The figures below are approximate estimates for 2026-27 based on public data, so confirm them with the school.
- One-time admission fee: about Rs. 2,48,000 to Rs. 2,50,000.
- Annual fees in the foundational years: about Rs. 1,32,000 to Rs. 2,20,000.
- Annual fees in senior grades: from about Rs. 2,40,000, rising to roughly Rs. 6,00,000 for specialised Cambridge A-Level or IB programmes, particularly at Moulsari.
Parent experience
Communication, academic tracking and circulars run through the Shri Connect Parent Portal. Parents also receive the weekly CCC Bulletin (university visits and internships) and can use the Parent Resource Portal, which reinforces the school's SEL principles at home.

Our Verdict
TSRS is a strong choice for parents who want a holistic, progressive education without compromising results. For Delhi families, the Vasant Vihar to Moulsari path combines a protected early childhood with an international senior school. For Gurugram families who want one campus and the Indian CISCE board, Aravali is an excellent fit.
Frequently Asked Questions
Do Vasant Vihar students automatically get a place at Moulsari?
Yes. Vasant Vihar only goes up to Grade 5, and students then move to the Moulsari campus in Gurugram for middle and senior school.
Does Aravali offer the IB?
No. Aravali follows the CISCE curriculum only: ICSE for Grades 9-10 and ISC for Grades 11-12. The IB Diploma Programme and Cambridge IGCSE are offered at Moulsari.
How does admission to Pravesh Vatika (Nursery) work?
It is the main entry point. Vasant Vihar follows DoE Delhi criteria and Aravali follows Haryana guidelines. Age cut-offs are published each year on the school's website before admissions open.
How does TSRS support mental health?
It is a signatory of the Mental Health Pledge and teaches social-emotional learning as part of the timetable. From Grade 4, the Counsellor Connect Programme gives students regular informal contact with professional counsellors.
Can my child join in a higher grade, such as Grade 9 or 11?
It is possible but very competitive, and only when a place opens because a family relocates. Apply directly to the principal's office of the campus.
Admission rules, dates and fees change every year. Please confirm them on the school's official website before applying.
